PVC compounds for hot water pipes
Historically, the design, development, and production of PVC and CPVC (Chlorinated PVC) compounds for piping have been carried out by the pipe manufacturers themselves. Based on our expertise in compound formulation—and taking advantage of the fact that a polypropylene pipe manufacturer began entering the CPVC pipe and fittings market—we initiated the development of two CPVC compounds specifically designed to match the customer’s newly acquired machinery.

Development of PVC compounds for 20-liter water container applications
Before 5-gallon or 20-liter water containers were made of PVC in Mexico, they were made of glass. An alternative material, polycarbonate (PC), was commonly used in Europe, but it proved to be too expensive. However, thanks to the development of PVC compounds and their proper implementation in machines designed to manufacture this type of container, industries related to water purification and bottling were encouraged to install facilities for producing PVC water containers.
