Evoprene® compounds behave like rubber at room temperature but flow like thermoplastics when subjected to heat and pressure.

These compounds perform best when overmolded using twin-barrel injection molding machines. This ensures the surfaces are completely clean and hot, resulting in superior bond strength. Satisfactory results can also be achieved using insert molding techniques.

In a co-extrusion process, both materials naturally bond through a co-extrusion head, and the die layout and barrel temperatures can be independently adjusted to the optimum for each material.
